Wisdom of the true patriot

Never do a wrong thing to make a friend or keep one.

Political interest can never be separated in the long run from moral right.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever does”

Margaret Mead

Patriot Principles and the use of art to communicate a message

Faith in God, Courage Under Fire, Limited Government, and Personal Responsibility

 The

Patriot Principles

That will preserve our freedom today as they did in 1776.
The General Mark Perrin Lowrey Mural Project is about a heroic figure of the American Civil War.  General Lowrey was known as the “Fighting Preacher” of the Army of the Tennessee.  He led his men in battle, led them to Christ, baptized many, and eulogized the burial of too many of his compatriots in arms, from the Lowrey Brigade, who died in combat for their country.

Today, America is at a crossroad just as we were in 1861.  An ever expanding Federal Government, burdensome debt, and moral decay are robbing Americans of their natural birth right; a birth right to be free.

Another preacher today is fighting to preserve our freedoms in memory of General Lowrey and all those compatriots of years past, by using his gift in art to communicate the Patriot Principles mentioned above.

Rev. Chuck Terrell a pastor, artist, and former Naval Aviator, has created a mural depicting General Lowrey leading his men in worship on Sunday morning, November 29, 1863, after three days of continuous fighting culminating in the Battle of Ringgold Gap, Georgia.   The Mural is five feet tall and seven feet wide, painted with oils on canvas.

Special edition prints are available at 18”x24” on archival paper.

Prints are available now through November 6th or until all editions sale out.
To Order Follow Check-Out Instructions Far Right Column.

The scene depicted in the Mural is described in the post below.  The plan for the project is to have the Mural ready to tour selected cities by July 4, 2012. Prints will be distributed beginning April 30, 2012.

Your support of the General Lowrey Mural Project will help Rev. Terrell call our citizens back to the Patriot Principles that secured our nation’s freedom from its very beginning.  You may find more of Rev. Terrell’s work at his web site-
